Walk Away
Sounds simple, but stand up, walk away and take a shower. Put your writing to one
side and you'll be surprised at how often ideas begin to flow7
Break Your Routine
If like me, you're a routine monster, sometimes that routine needs to be changed.
Pack up your laptop or notepad and pen and walk. Find a spot that inspires you,
whether it's the sea, a park or even a coffee shop on a high-street. Just Sit and watch and see what transpires.
Set A Writing Goal
Schedule a time and a duration period in which you will write each day. It doesn't
matter if what you've written goes straight in the bin, it's all about discipline.
You need to treat your writing as you would with any job, set goals and deadlines to
keep you focused.
Don't be a perfectionist.
Don't try and make every word and sentence into a bestseller, that's what the editing and rewrites are for. Let your writing flow, freestyle it, no one will see it but you, so
relax and enjoy.
